Senior Development Manager
Salary: £ 90,000 – £ 94,000
Type of contract: Permanent – Full time
Valid until: Wednesday 08 December 2021
About the role
Location: We work from home, our modern offices in Stratford, Billericay, Poplar and also on our sites. If you want a job that you can adapt to your family life, then this one is a keeper!
Nowadays, all housing companies claim to be innovative, but are they really?
At Swan, the proof is in the pudding. We are unique in that we have our own fully integrated construction management team working on the delivery of our pipeline of over 8,000 homes. We also have our own factories that produce modular homes and so innovation is really at the heart of everything we do. We take calculated risks and are not afraid to try new things. Some might even call us pioneers …
Being part of a housing association, the social goal is our mantra. The work we do can make a real difference in Essex and East London. We are building homes and communities, not just homes, as regeneration is at the heart of our growth strategy. Swan will offer you a tailor-made management training program as well as a set of attractive benefits.
You might be a Senior Director of Development with extensive experience in completing a variety of complex and exciting projects or find that you are ready to step down from the role of Senior Director of Development you once held. Either way, if you’re interested in working on an award-winning mixed-use redevelopment of a former shopping center, or a market-leading housing-led regeneration project delivered through our modular plant in Basildon among other exciting projects, Swan would love to hear from you.
Having previously held at least one Senior Development Management position or equivalent, you probably know a lot about what this type of position entails. You will need to take ownership of the key aspects of the project and have a dynamic and “can do” approach. You will be passionate about delivering exceptional programs that will win awards and bring transformational change to existing residents and visitors. For more information, please see the job description.
Additional benefit package:
- Annual bonus – up to 15% of your annual salary (* linked to performance)
(Psst! – that’s around £ 14,100 based on a salary of £ 94,000!)
- Private medical insurance and life insurance
- Competitive pension plan
- 36 days of annual leave including public holidays
- Improved family-friendly benefits including superb maternity and paternity schemes
We hire our people based on their personality, not just their experience. A CV can only tell us a lot, so we ask applicants to apply by also submitting a cover letter / summary.
Ranked # 37 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Nonprofit Companies, working for Swan is a lifestyle, not just a job.
