Your blog can now have a significant weight in promoting your profile as a professional in your industry. It’s slightly depressing to know that your CV has a matter of seconds’ consideration before it is ‘filed’ appropriately. A presence on the web affords you the luxury to ‘sell yourself’ as much, and for how long as you want.

Your blog will be supplemental to your existing, summarised resume. CV's will never go out of date, and whilst new media is a great thing, it won’t replace the traditional.
