Looking for a new start in construction or want to develop your exisiting skill set? Earn up to £30k a year after qualifying as a bricklayer. Work toward a National Qualification & attain your CSCS Card. If you would like to achieve a qualification in Bricklaying, listed below are some of the units you will need to demonstrate competence in. To complete your qualification, you will need to demonstrate your skills and competence in the workplace where you will be assessed according to your level of ability. The skills which you demonstrate alongside additional evidence generated by you on site will be examined by an assessor in the workplace.

While you are in training you will gain the skills and confidence to help you achieve long term sustainable employment. You will register you with the CITB - awarding body and register and help you take the first steps towards achieving your site safety card (CSCS card). We will also give you advice regarding CITB criteria for holding the card.

  • Erect and dismantle basic working platform
  • Work efficiently
  • Brick and Block-work Walling
  • Set out basic buildings
  • Construct walling detail
  • Signalling for the movement of loads

  • Basic 100mm & 225mm walling.
  • English Bond.
  • English Garden.
  • Wall Bond.
  • Copings.
  • Pillar Caps.
  • Soldier and Header courses.
  • Cavity Work.
  • Lintels.
  • Door and Window Reveals.
  • Damp Proof Course (DPC)
